Listen 2 Our Teens

“Listen 2 Our Teens” is an inspirational program that was developed to assist our youth with achieving their dreams while curtailing violence and other challenges that exists in their environments.  It targets teenagers (13 to 19 years of age), but it can be beneficial to everyone. This 30 minute program provides practical character building lessons that are centered around positive decision making. It was established in 2014 and is the birth-child of ‘Focus on Natural Health Education & Community Development Inc.” (a non-profit organization). The show airs weekly on PEG-TV Channel 18 COMCAST in Jackson, Mississippi on Thursdays at 4:30 pm and Fridays at 7:30 pm locally.

 

Deborah Gant, the Producer of “Listen 2 Our Teens”, lives in Terry, MS. Mrs. Gant is the President/Founder/General Manager of 3ABN Radio Station, WFNH 95.1FM Jackson, Mississippi. The station hit the airwaves on January 20, 2017 and it is the first and thus far only 3ABN Radio Station in the entire state of Mississippi. She is also the CEO/Founder/President of Focus on Natural Health Education Community Development Inc. Mrs. Gant became a Master Gardner in 2013 via Mississippi State University Extension Service. Samuel Richardson, a co-host of “Listen 2 Our Teens”, lives in Columbus, MS.  He is currently a 12th grade student at Victory Christian Academy (Columbus, MS) where he is a member of the National Beta Club.  During his freshman year, Samuel played on the Junior Varsity Basketball Team and finished the year on the All A Honor Roll.   Samuel is also a member of the National Duke TIP 7th – 12th Grade Talent Search. Morgan Jones, a co-host/guest of “Listen 2 Our Teens,” lives in Columbus, MS.  She is currently a junior at Mississippi University for Women. While recording for the show, Morgan attended Columbus High School and was dual enrolled at East Mississippi Community College (EMCC) and Mississippi University for Women (MUW).  Since then, she has graduated from Columbus High School and EMCC. At Columbus High, Morgan is a member of Columbus High School’s Frontline Show Choir, the Spanish Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society, and the National Beta Club. (Read More)

 

Shondolyn Young Richardson, a Director/Camera Operator for “Listen 2 Our Teens”, lives in Columbus, MS. Shondolyn is the South Central Conference Women’s Ministries State Director for Central Alabama (Seventh-day Adventist), and she is a member of EternaLights, a Birmingham, Alabama based creative arts ministry that is comprised of members from various states. Michael Richardson, a Director/Camera Operator for  “Listen 2 Our Teens”, lives in Columbus, MS. He is the Senior Programmer Analyst / Learning Management System Administrator at Mississippi University for Women, and a member of the Audio/Visual Ministry at the Ephesus SDA Church (Birmingham, Alabama). Over the years, Michael has created and shared numerous clips online of sermons and music ministries from various services, concerts, and special events.(Read More)
