On Thursday, August 29, 2013, I had the privilege of taping a 13 minute segment for Magnify Him, the flagship music program that airs on 3ABN's new Dare to Dream urban network. Holiday Woes A songwriter once wrote, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year, With the kids jingle belling, and everyone telling you, “Be of good cheer, It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” Even though this perspective may be true for some, others view the holiday season as something completely different.

Isaiah 54:13 This is a verse that we will always remember because of an AYS program that we attended over a year ago. During that particular program, the Adventist Youth Society gave a presentation concerning the importance of family worship.
Over the past few months, the North Mississippi Prayer Summits have seemed to pick up steam. Sometimes it is referred to as "The Power of Prayer" or “Look at What Prayer Can Do". With talk of failing banks, job cuts, states nearing financial collapse, declining home equity values, and unforeseen job insecurity, it would be easy to become discouraged. However, there are a growing number of people that use these unfortunate circumstances as a reminder of how unpredictable life can be and how much they need the Lord.

We started the school year as usual in August. Then suddenly she was absent and soon sent word to us that she was having a mass removed from her colon. So, I thought that she was simply at home recovering from her surgery.
